pastor Jeff Pierce


Jeff moved to Olympia, Washington in 2007 to begin pastoring Summit Lake Community Church. He is a graduate of Clearwater Christian College and The Master’s Seminary and is currently finishing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Westminster Theological Seminary. He is a certified biblical counselor with The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC)(www.biblicalcounseling.com) and The Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) (www.christiancounseling.com).

Jeff is a diligent student of the Bible and a skilled communicator. He has taught through Scripture for over a decade and specializes in messages that connect the inspired truths of God to the real struggles of life.

He has over 10 years of biblical counseling experience, serving individuals, couples, and families both inside and outside the church. He specializes in marriage and family counseling, but also handles personal cases addressing matters such as addiction, anger, anxiety, and depression.

Jeff and his wife, Jill, have been married since 2001 and have lived in the four corners of the US. They grew up in the northeast, attended college together in the southeast, moved to the southwest for seminary, and then up to northwest for Jeff’s first pastorate. They currently live in Tumwater, WA, with their three daughters: Juliana, Jenna, and Jocelyn. Together, the Pierce’s enjoy exploring the outdoors, playing sports, rooting for the New England Patriots, drinking Dutch Bro’s coffee, and traveling to beautiful beaches and amusement parks.

Don was raised in various places throughout the U.S. due to the military career of his father. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Evangel College and a Master of Divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary. He became co-pastor of Summit Lake Community Church in January 2007. In addition to pastoring at SLCC, he is a chaplain with the Washington Army National Guard.

He is seasoned teacher who enjoys exploring the wonders of God’s Gospel in Scripture and sharing his discoveries with others. He is a tremendous facilitator, enthusiastically leading studies that encourage interaction, mutual learning and encouragement.

He has 10 years of counseling experience, serving both military and non-military individuals with problems ranging from PTSD to marriage conflict.

Don and his wife, Ronni, have four children: Caleb, Luke, Regan, and Reece. They live in Olympia, WA. In addition to their ministry activities, the Brewers enjoy hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, running, Gonzaga basketball, volleyball, and eating.

David Carnahan was born and raised in Washington State. He has over 13 years of musical experience and has led worship at Summit Lake Community Church since 2011. His deepest desire is to use the gift of music to stir believers in their affection for Christ and their passion to share Him with others.

David is the also the Pastor of Youth at SLCC. He has several years of counseling experience with youth in matters related to anxiety, depression, addiction, and family conflict.

He loves spending time with his wife, Miceal, and their two daughters, Ellaina and Abigail where they reside in Shelton, WA. He enjoys playing music, socializing with friends and family, drinking coffee, exploring the outdoors, and BBQ-ing.
